Abstract

Information is given on the life history of the cuckoo bee Thyreus lieftincki and on its host, Anthophora braunsiana Friese. Biological data are also presented on Anthophora krebsi Friese, the nests of which are attacked by the cuckoo bee Coelioxys (Liothyrapis) lativentris Friese. The adults of T. lieftincki, new species, are described.
